CUFP is looking for talented, enthusiastic students to join our executive board! We are currently looking for a Secretary, Publicity Assistant, Associate Manager of Operations and Events Manager.
The Secretary’s duties will include: posting on and maintaining our blog and Facebook page, acting as our Membership Liaison, maintaining our membership database and answering members’ e-mails. The ideal candidate would have an interest in film events on campus and around the city, and be an enthusiastic community organizer, willing to help other students out with their filmmaking needs, internships, etc.
2. Publicity Assistant
The Publicity Assistant will be working with our current Publicity Manager, Mae Smith, to design posters for CUFP events and will be responsible for communicating with other university organizations and departments, reaching out to the film community in the city to expand our events and the content we can make available to CUFP students. Knowledge of Photoshop or InDesign is a plus.
3. Associate Manager of Operations
The Associate Manager of Operations will training under our Equipment Manager, Claire Pope and our Treasurer, Ariel Endacott. This will be a great way to get involved more with both the production and administrative aspect of our club, while learning more about our equipment. You will also be able to contribute your ideas to our production and equipment management.
4. Events Manager
The Events Manager will be responsible for booking rooms on campus for CUFP Events and corresponding with our club advisor for any logistical questions about event planning. You will also be work with our current Festival Director, Blair McClendon, to learn how to run CUFP’s Film Festival. This will be a great way to add your ideas to our event management, and anyone interested in going into film criticism or event organization should strongly consider applying.
We are hoping to find creative and ambitious people to expand our contact with the student community and broaden what opportunities we can make available to our members.
