SCCC Screenwriting Competition for Undergraduate Students

What: This competition is a unique opportunity for undergraduate students interested in screenwriting. This feature-length screenplay contest is open only to undergraduates (winners must submit documentation of undergraduate status at time of submission).

Our goal is to promote undergraduate screenwriting and screenwriting education. We want to celebrate the best screenwriting by up and coming writers and share their talent with industry professionals. We offer feedback by top industry pros to help continue the growth of these talented writers. Additionally, the sort of exposure these young writers will receive is unprecedented in the industry.

Prizes:
· Top 3 winners will receive free admission to the SCCC Creative Writing Festival where they will be recognized at an awards ceremony.
· Top 3 winners will receive a cash prize.
· Top 3 winners receive script review and feedback from Jim Serpico, President of Motion Pictures and Television, Apostle, New York City.
· First Prize Winner will have the opportunity to meet with development executives from Apostle, New York City.

Entry Fee: $25. Free for full-time students of S.C.C.C.

Deadline: Contest is open for one month. Contest opens on 2/7/12. Entries and contest fees must be received by 5 PM E.S.T. 3/7/12. Winners will be announced in early April. Awards ceremony will be at the SCCC Creative Writing Festival Conference Day, 4/28/12.
