Screening and Discussion of Benoit Jacquot’s “Deep in the Woods”

What: The Columbia University School of the Arts Film Department, the School of Visual Arts and Unifrance Films are delighted to invite Columbia students to a sneak-peek screening and discussion with acclaimed French directors Benoit Jacquot. His film “Deep in the Woods” will be screened with a following discussion panel.

When/Where: March 7th @6PM Dodge Room 511. The screening is open to all Columbia students. Seating will be on a first come, first serve basis, so try to get there early!

About:Benoit Jacquot sets DEEP IN THE WOODS in the 19th century. A wild man emerges from the woods and casts a spell on the beautiful daughter of a country doctor. The two of them flee into the woods and descend into a nightmare of carnal sex, mixed with moments of tenderness, violence and abuse, before redemption and salvation arrive.
