What: Former CUFP board member, Frances Bodomo, is shooting a 10-minute film over Spring Break (March 16-18) and is looking for several crew positions. It’s a great way to learn about what it’s like to work on a set with lights and proper sound recording. And it’s going to be a fun set with an incredibly international crew (from England, Thailand, Spain, France, Portugal, and Ghana) that likes to party and chill. Good chance to make some friends and work on a fun film.
About: The film, OUR SECRET, is a sweet, creepy, perverse film about a lonely woman who lures her epileptic neighbor into her apartment, induces a seizure, and then uses his body for make-believe. It’s based on Miranda July’s “The Shared Patio.”
Positions: Best boy, key grip, grip, boom operator, art assistant, hair/makeup, PAs, and script supervisor. They’re also looking for a more involved production designer and co-producer. All these positions are great ways to get started if you’re thinking of a career in film production. Everyone you’ll meet on this set is constantly making movies and constantly needing crew members.
Interested? E-mail Frances at firstname.lastname@example.org by Sunday night at 11:59:59pm. Let her know who you are, what you want to do, why you want to do it, and your previous film experience. Include your availability, please!
