What: Rooftop Films is seeking interns for Summer 2010, working in their various programs including their summer film festival. For more info on the company, visit their website.
Commitment: Candidates would be expected to average at least two days a week and one show per weekend, but generally the more time you can commit the better. Internship tasks can include: Organizing film screenings; Audio and video tech work; Fundraising and development; Contacting, corresponding and hosting filmmakers; Organizing and maintaining film databases; Logging and capturing films and footage; Organizing our tape library; General office and festival work; Anything else students might be interested in, as they want interns to see how they work.
Qualifications: Candidates should have good experience working with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and experience with Filemaker, HTML, design programs or video editing software is a plus. In addition, interns will have an opportunity to learn a variety of technical skills, including Avid and Final Cut Pro digital editing skills. Internships are unpaid, and can offer school credit.
