What: Columbia’s Southeast Asia League (SEAL) is putting on a free screening of 15 Malaysian short films. “15 Malaysia is an anthology of 15 short films by 15 Malaysian filmmakers. These films deal with socio-political issues in Malaysia that are current or pervasive, salient or latent, such as corruption, race relations, Islamic banking, and government health warnings. The films range from comedic to emotive, and feature some of the best-known personalities in the country, including actors, musicians, student leaders, and politicians. The CU Southeast Asian League invites you to support and find out more about the growing film scene in Malaysia and join them in this screening on Friday night!”
When/Where: The screening will be free to Columbia students on February 19th at 9PM, and it is being held in Lerner Cinema on campus.
