Now Playing at MoMA

Upcoming at MoMA:

From June 26 to July 2, a slew of Abderrahmane Sissako films are playing in conjunction with the 2009 Robert Flaherty Seminar “Witnesses, Monuments, Ruins,” exploring the act of bearing witness—bringing memory, experience, and history into the present.

A selection of films from Marcus Hu and Jon Gerrans’ Stand Releasing catalog will play from July 1 to July 6.

July 3 to July 8 you can check out Ben Addelman and Samir Mallal’s documentary Nollywood Babylon, exploring the growing film industry in Nigeria.

See critical faves as part of The New York Film Critics Circle at 75 film series. Great films will be playing from July 3 all the way through the end of September. In the next week, you can see the lovely Far From Heaven, the original Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, and Fargo, among others.
